With a newly 4 year old in the house it’s like things have suddenly gotten even more fun, playful and creative! I encourage K to use her imagination, play with minimal toys and I let her get bored. It’s ok for children to get bored (this is the teacher in me speaking and as a mom seeing it in practice I believe in it even more now), boredom sparks creative thinking and trains the brain to see the fun in simple objects and situations. Obviously, this post isn’t about how to train our children’s brains but to show how fun they can have with even just one toy! That toy for us now is a drum set. Yep, girls can play drums and that’s what she asked for her birthday from her Godparents, who by the way were so thrilled with the thought because they are musical people. So, with a drummer in the house I had to put her in a rocking outfit!
I have hoarded this Gold Sequined Jacket from H&M for almost 2 years but it was released again and again so you can still find it and I think it’s a total must! So cool, casual and glamorous! To make this look less fancy and more Rocker Chic I paired it with a cozy peplum sweater from Childhoods Clothing (which we live by, we have almost all the colors this sweater comes in), baggy jeans and gladiator sandals! Any look is easily topped off with some K&Elphy gladiators 😉 These Polka Dot versions were the perfect choice to add some pattern to the outfit. To bring everything together and give it that fun, playful feel our look was going for, bear ears from Mini Tres Chic were the obvious choice!
Now, Rock ON!
