I find it so funny that some years the Greek Orthodox Easter is on a completely different date to the rest of the world who celebrate Easter. I secretly love it when it happens to be a months difference (like this year, we will be celebrating on the 1st of May) cause I get to peek and search what the trends are with plenty of time to order and organize my holiday self.
I believe the easiest way to plan a child’s Easter Day outfit is by thinking happy, sunny Spring! Meaning go for bright colors, florals and bold patterns. My favorite colors this year for an Easter Day outfit are yellow and green. Wear them on their own or pair them up! The point is to use happy colors, so that means what colors make your child happy too! If it’s blue then do blue. That doesn’t mean you can’t add your own styling twists to a blue look. Take this blue dress from June and January and match it up with a sweet bow collar from Crew & Lu and you instantly have a fabulous outfit.
Even though this look is simple the colors make the statement but there is one thing I would add… bunny ears! The trend of bunny ears for Easter has become huge and there are so many amazing places you can find a unique pair of ears, here are our favorites.
Now don’t get discouraged if you don’t have time to order or create your perfect look for your girl this Easter. There is always planning way in advanced for next year or just go and rummage through your home, I bet you can find a forgotten dress, accessories and bits that you can maybe even make a fab pair of bunny ears with! Just like I did below with what I had hanging around my daughter’s K room. I took a generic bunny headband and just put a Little Blue Olive crown on top of it and the cuteness is amazing! Simple, with things we already owned! The thing that makes a great Easter day outfit is the joy a child has when wearing it, so most importantly don’t forget to let your little bunnies have fun on this holiday and eat lots of candy!
